Ludovic Lamothe's stately méringue, "La Dangereuse" is performed by Micheline Laudun Denis, a Haitian pianist. Ludovic Lamothe, according to Michael Largey's Vodou Nation, was also the son of Virginie Sampeur, a famous poet of 19th century Haitian letters and one-time spouse of Oswald Durand, our national bard. Lamothe's danzas are also highly recommended.
